Tips and Tricks for Skin Care and Makeup When You’re Wearing a Mask

lady wearing mask

As we adjust to the important (and in some places mandatory) act of wearing a mask during the current global health crisis, our skin is also adjusting. Although there are many shops selling trendy and patterned maskes – even the chicest offerings can’t combat “maskne”, which is why our skin-care and makeup routines now require some recalibrating. With this in mind, we have put together some tips and tricks to help you out.

How Will Wearing a Mask Impact My Skin?

While this answer will be different for different skin types we have seen an uptick in clients experiencing new facial rashes and breakouts due to wearing face masks. Direct contact of the mask to skin causes friction, which in turn causes disruption of the outer skin layer, leading to dryness and irritation. Masks also trap humidity, sweat, and oil on the skin contributing to acne breakouts and worsening of conditions like rosacea. The hot, moist environment under a mask is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria that can end up leading to breakouts. This is why we should be changing our skincare and makeup routine to coincide with this.

Should I Change My Skincare Routine?

These times call for a stripped down and streamline skincare routine. Avoid trying out a new a skincare routine during this time as too much experimenting can lead to skin irritation. Also steer clear of harsh scrubs, heavy-duty exfoliants, and thick creams, which have a propensity to exacerbate congestion. Instead, go for a gentle, hydrating cleanser twice a day in order to remove trapped sweat and debris after taking off a mask. Follow this with a hydrating toner, light serum or gel moisturizer, and sunscreen. Try and prioritize skin-soothing ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, aloe, and niacinamide. Be sure to wait five minutes after application before putting on your mask, in order to allow the products to absorb into the skin.

Don’t forget the  importance of moisturizing regularly during this time. If your skin is already irritated, then wearing a mask on top can just make it worse. Think of your moisturiser as a protective seal on the surface of your skin to lock in hydration and reduce any irritation.

Or why not try a hydrating mask?

Yon-Ka’s HYDRA N°1 MASQUE is the best ally of dry, dehydrated skins or skins submitted to external factors such as the sun, wind and cold. This gel is enriched in hydrating actives:

  • imperata cylindrica
  • aloe vera,
  • vegetal glycerin
  • combined with anti-dehydration and repairing actives like jojoba and olive phytosqualanes.
  • Vitamine A and silicon bring their smoothing and restucturing properties
  • vitamin B5 and vitamins C and E complete the action of the hydrating agents.

These molecules combine their strength to bring the skin immediate comfort and avoid the feeling of tightness, even on the most sensitive skins.

Use 1 to 3 times a week, after cleansing and spraying LOTION YON-KA. Apply the mask in a thick layer onto the face, neck and decolleté. Leave on for 20 minutes to 1 hour according to your needs, then remove any excess with tissue paper without rubbing.

Skin emergency ? Apply the HYDRA N°1 MASQUE in a thick layer, in the evening, before going to sleep. Remove any excess with a tissue paper and sleep with this treatment mask all night. You will awake to fresh and soft skin in the morning.

What About My Mask?

It is important to wash your face mask regularly. Having more than one mask will allow you to switch off while you’re doing the laundry. It is also important to be cautious when choosing a detergent as masks come into direct contact with the skin. Choose a detergent that is fragrance and dye-free to avoid potential skin allergies. Additionally, stock up on masks made from soft fabrics, which will ease friction. As this can create micro-tears in the skin that allow for easier entry of bacteria and dirt and ultimately cause inflammation and acne formation.

Can I Wear Makeup Underneath?

We don’t recommend wearing makeup under a mask as it isn’t necessary and can potentially lead to more issues with breakouts and irritation. It’s best to focus on keeping the skin hydrated and comfortable while wearing a mask.  A tinted moisturizer or serum would be okay but anything heavier can clog pores, contributing to acne breakouts. If you would still like to wear foundation try choosing a lightweight formula and blot off the excess that will come in contact with the mask.

Should I Still Be Wearing Sunscreen?

Yon-ka SPF 50 £30.50 IN SALON

Wearing sunscreen is an essential part of your daytime skinare routine. Even while still at home we should still be applying sunscreen. We know that UVA light penetrates right through window glass, putting your skin at risk for some damage even if you are indoors. Plus, blue light emitted from your light bulbs and electronic devices has been shown to cause premature aging of the skin. Therefore SPF is one of the most important skincare steps to take. The Yon-Ka sunscreen pictured is available in SPF 50 and 25.

Why Not Get Expressive With Your Eyes

With not being able to see one another’s expressions or smiles and all the focus now on the upper half of the face why not have some fun with eye makeup and experiment with new colours or techniques.

Mens Waxing FAQ

waxing for men writing with a pic of after waxed man

What is your pre-wax advice?

Hair needs to be about half a cm long before it can be waxed, particularly if it has been previously shaved. Please leave at least 3 weeks since your last shave and allow at least 4 weeks between wax treatments. If it is your first time getting waxed and are not sure of length do not trim and we can do this in salon, as it is better to be too long rather than too short as hairs will not remove easily. It’s recommended that you gently exfoliate the area to be treated, beginning 2-3 days before your waxing appointment. This removes any dead skin and lifts the hair which makes it easier to remove, and results in a smoother finish for you.

Are your waxing therapists male or female?

All our waxing therapists at The Fountain of Beauty are female, highly qualified and experienced.

Is men’s waxing really popular?

Yes, it is! We have lots of male clients here at The Fountain of Beauty. It is estimated that as many as one third of all men get rid of their body hair regularly. In saying that long before waxing became popular with the likes of David Beckham and celebrities alike sporting the hair free look, men were removing their hair with whatever method they could find available to them. Athletes do it, body builders do it and a long time ago warriors did it.

Are there any conditions which mean I won’t be able to have a wax treatment?

If you have any form of contagious skin condition we are unable to wax the affected area until the condition has cleared up. Sunburned, chaffed or broken skin cannot be waxed until it is completely healed. Clients who are taking Accutane will need to delay having a wax treatment until at least six months after completing their medication. Skin that has been treated with steroid creams, Retin-A or any other retinoid acne products cannot be waxed for three months after the course of treatment has been completed.

Why is waxing a better option for men’s hair removal?

Skin stays smoother longer when you have unwanted hair removed with waxing by a well-trained therapist. Regrowth is slower and softer, and less irritating than shaving. A smooth body makes your skin look firmer and your muscles more defined.

What areas can be waxed?

Waxing is effective on just about any area except the head and beard. Back, shoulders, chest, stomach, ears, nostrils, and especially the intimate area all feel and look better when they are smooth and hair-free. Swimmers and cyclists improve performance by keeping legs hair free. That “unibrow” look can be separated into two distinct brows. Many men overlook the growth on their ears and in their nostrils that are noticeable to others when close-up.

male chest half unwaxed half waxed

What should I expect, and does it hurt?

When you make your appointment, we will discuss what areas you would like treated.

Upon arrival for your appointment, the therapist will escort you to the treatment room where she will confirm with you the areas you are wanting waxed, and answer any questions you might have. She will then invite you to undress to the appropriate level before exiting the room.

A few minutes later she will return, checking before entering to make sure you are ready to proceed. For most areas of the body we use high-quality Outback Organics True Blue strip wax. A thin layer of this wax is applied with a spatula, then a paper strip is placed over the wax. When the paper strip is pulled away the wax and hair is removed. Pressure is applied after each strip to dissipate any discomfort. For intimate areas we use a mixture of Outback Organics True Blue strip wax and Outback Organics Gold Peelable wax, which is very gentle on your skin.

Most men find that waxing is not nearly as uncomfortable as they expected. The momentary sensation when the therapist removes the wax is the worst of it, and any discomfort is generally soothed by the application of a calming lotion when waxing has been completed.

Subsequent hair removal within a 4-6 week time period becomes increasingly easier as the hair becomes softer and less coarse.

What type of wax do you use?

We use Outback Organics wax along with their pre and post wax products.

Outback organics logo and slogan "don't beat about the bush" "outback organics the gold standard in waxing"

Outback Organics fuse the latest cosmetic ingredients with innovative natural extracts from the coastline, forests and bush lands of Australia to create ethical products that are as perfect for spas, salons and beauty therapists as they are for individuals. The wax is applied with a spatula and removed with paper strips; this method of waxing is called strip waxing and is a great method for larger areas such as the legs or arms. For sensitive and intimate areas, we use Outback Organics Gold Peelable wax.

Outback Organics entire range is free from synthetic colouring and fragrances, parabens and other harsh chemicals. They will never test on animals and endeavour to make as many of their products as vegan friendly as possible. Many of their luxurious Australian botanical products contain either pure, organic tea tree oil or lemon myrtle oil – two of nature’s strongest known antiseptics and wonderful natural remedies in the treatment of countless skin ailments, cuts, scrapes, insect bites and minor infections.

outback organics vegan friendly true blue strip wax "superior client comfort, innovative gel wax, no stickiness"

To complement their original tea tree line, they have also created the UK’s most complete range of wax-related skin care products. Each has been designed from the ground up by professional therapists working in the industry. They are specifically formulated to tackle the most common complaints after hair removal: irritation, pimples and ingrown hairs.

Will I be 100% hairless after my first service?

Waxing is very rarely perfect the first time as there are three phases to hair growth. To be removed successfully, hair has to be growing in a specific phase. It’s not until you’re waxed a 3rd, 4th, and possibly 5th time (4 – 6 weeks apart), that waxing is completely effective, as by this time most of your hair will be in the same growth phase.

What is your post-wax advice?

We want you to look and feel great after your wax treatment. It’s normal to experiences light redness or small bumps after waxing but these will usually subside within 24-48 hours. You can minimise any after-effects by following these guidelines during that period:

  • Avoid hot baths or showers
  • No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments
  • Do not tan (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans)
  • No sport, gym, work or other heavy exercise
  • Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools
  • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended by your therapist.

We also stock the Outback Organics homecare products such as face and body scrub, bush balm, ingrown hair serum and post wax spray to help tackle any further reactions after waxing.

MAVALA Nail Care during Cancer Therapy

leave title

Cutaneous side effects of cancer therapy and preventive measures*1 recommended by MAVALA Laboratories

mavala nail care booklet

Among cancer therapies, classical chemotherapy, some targeted therapies or the combination of both can cause undesirable effects on skin, nails and hair, leading to an important impact on the quality of life of patients.

The frequency and severity of these undesirable effects may vary depending on the individual sensitivity of each person, but also depending on the dose and period of drug administered.

MAVALA became interested in nail disorders, seeming to be notably caused by the family of taxanes (docetaxel, paclitaxel). These treatments may cause several types of anomalies, affecting nails of hands as well as toenails and are an obstacle to the everyday well-being of the patient.

Nail Problems

The most common troubles include:

  • Ridged, breaking, splitting, thickened nails
  • Changes of pigmentation: hyperpigmentation, irregular pigmentation, appearance of brown to black stains, blue or orange stains
  • Bacterial or fungal infections appearing between the nail plate and the nail bed, leading to a greenish colouring
  • Leukonychia: white stains on nails
  • Subungual haemorrhages: bleeding under the nails
  • Paronychia or whitlow: inflammatory swelling around the nails, often together with infectious complications

Experience has shown that taking care of your nails and having regular manicures is essential to delay and/or restrict the undesirable effects on the nail. For this, MAVALA recommends to act on three main axes: protect, reinforce and moisturise.

In case of infections or inflammation, an appropriate medical treatment must be prescribed by a doctor (antiseptics, antifungals, antibiotics).

Furthermore, it is recommended to always consult the advice of medical staff (oncologists, nurses, doctors, etc.) before using products.

Protect your nails

MAVALA Laboratories advise you to have a complete manicure (base coat – coloured nail polish – top coat) the day before your medical treatment, and should be renewed as soon as it starts wearing down, and  this, during the whole duration of treatment and still a few weeks afterwards.

  1. A thin layer of protective base coat, that will also improve the adherence of the nail polish and prolong its hold. Choose the following depending on the condition of nails:
products and descriptions

2. Two thin coats of opaque coloured nail polish protect nails from daylight, by also, hide any eventual pigmentation disorders.

Historically, mainly dark shades (brown black, …) were advised in some oncology departments.

A scientific study*2 , led by the pharmacy faculty of Nantes (France), evaluated the photoprotective efficiency of different nail polishes, including several MAVALA shades. It appears that opaque nail polishes applied in two coats are likely to ensure an excellent protection of nails against ultraviolet (UV) radiation, with photoprotection levels sometimes will above what is observed as part of the usual topical photoprotectors (sun creams and milks). If dark shades are particularly effective regarding UV radiation, a very good protection can be obtained with lighter shades, as long as they are well covering.

Glitter nail polishes should be avoided, as they are difficult to be removed with an acetone free nail polish remover. Furthermore, on particularly weak nails, we do not recommend to apply very bright shades (yellow, orange, blue, green) that might stain nails that are already weak.

3. A thin layer of top coat, to be chosen depending on desired result:

Strengthen your nails

Wearing nail polish already provides a physical protection to nails. However, if your nails become soft, breaking or fragile, MAVALA recommends to strengthen them by applying a fortifying base coat, or an additional physical protection.

Hyaluronic Acid – What it is and how to use it?

Hyaluronic Acid. Sounds scary, but secretly holds the key to smooth, flawless and hydrated skin.

smiling lady applying face cream

The term hyaluronic acid is everywhere from skincare adverts to the ingredients lists but do you really know what it is? How to use it? Or what the benefits are? “ACID” sounds scary and something that we wouldn’t want to put anywhere near our faces! However what if we told you it holds the key to smooth, flawless, plump and hydrated skin?

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Our own skin cells produce Hyaluronic Acid naturally in a bid to maintain our moisture levels. However those levels decline due to ageing, environmental aggressors and other internal and external factors we deal with on a daily basis.

Cue sensitivity, dullness, fine lines and uneven skin tone and texture as a result.

The substance works as a magnet for moisture, helping your cells retain as much of it as possible so that your skin feels and appears hydrated, plump and healthy.

Topically applied, it helps to hydrate the skin and maintain this hydration as a humectant (a substance used to reduce the loss of moisture).

Now were going to get a tiny bit science-y. Just a single gram of Hyaluronic Acid has the impressive ability to hold up to six litres of water. In addition it has a super smart ability to regulate that moisture within the cells, so as not to drown them! Now you’ve got one genius ingredient!

Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid?

  • When the skin is sufficiently hydrated, it feels super-soft, plump and pillowy and looks so much more radiant.
  • Hydrated skin ensures a long lasting sin kissed glow after holidays as dry skin burns and loses a colour quicker.
  • When skin is hydrated, lines and wrinkles (even the deeper ones) appear diminished, so it is a great ingredient for those with ageing skin who are desperate to cling on to their youthful perkiness.
  • It works wonders on everyone, even sensitive or breakout-prone skin, as well as those with an oily complexion.
  • Recent research suggests that Hyaluronic Acid also has antioxidant properties. Which means it can act like a shield against free radicals we aren’t in control of, for instance pollution and other aggressors.

Is Hyaluronic Acid safe?

Yes it is! Don’t be put off by the name, because, unlike some acids, Hyaluronic Acid doesn’t strip the skin or need any downtime when applied topically.

Why is it called an acid if it doesn’t exfoliate the skin?

Even though it’s called an ‘acid’, HA is the complete opposite of glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids, and won’t exfoliate dead skin cells. The name simply derives from the enzyme that synthesises HA, called ‘hyaluronic acid synthase’.

How do I know if my skin needs Hyaluronic Acid?

Although all skin types can benefit from HA, ageing and dehydrated skin will greatly notice these benefits.

Ageing – As we age, the amount of Hyaluronic Acid our skin cells produce begins to lessen and cell turnover can become sluggish. As a result fine lines, wrinkles and rough texture tend to make their debut. Therefore, if you want to maintain that youthful glow, incorporating Hyaluronic Acid into your anti-ageing skincare routine is definitely a good idea.

Dehydrated skin – Different to dry skin, dehydrated skin lacks moisture, can be peppered with lines and wrinkles and has the tendency to look dull. It also often feels rough, tight and sensitive which is where Hyaluronic Acid comes in. It is exceptional as it has the ability to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Therefore it keeps moisture on lock-down, quenching parched patches instantly and cumulatively throughout the day.

family having fun on the beach in the sun

Often the UK summers can be so fleeting, that preparing, nourishing and protecting your skin against the sun’s ill effects is often forgotten.

For most, a summer routine is following their normal routine and adding in some factor 30. As our skin reacts to the changes in temperature, we should be changing up our beauty routines. Due to increased temperatures in dry heat, our skin may begin to lack moisture, increasing the appearance of fine lines. As temperatures rise, you are more likely to sweat, causing problems for those who suffer with skin conditions like eczema. Most importantly, there is sun cream! A must need summer essential, however if not properly removed, can easily clog your pores and lead to break outs.

The Right Sunscreen

woman applying sun cream in the shape of a sun

We have long left behind the assumption that sun cream will stop us tanning or is a miraculous solution that will protect us for endless hours, impervious to sweat, water and other activities. Although, there are still common misconceptions. Many people look only for The SPF (Sun Protection Factor) and overlook other fundamental elements of a good sun cream.

Did you know that SPF50 only filters out 1% more UVB light than SPF30?

An SPF30 sun lotion protects you against 97% of UVB rays. An SPF50 protects you against 98% of UVB. It is far more important to apply sun lotions regularly and liberally, rather than to choose a very high factor sun lotion.

Choose Broad-Spectrum

The SPF only indicates the level of protection against UVB radiation (B for ‘Burning’), in contrast, UVA rays (A for ‘Ageing’) can still be getting through. Consequently, causing long-term damage to the living skin cells in the deeper underlying layers of the skin. This accounts for approximately 90% of the signs of premature ageing.

All sunscreens available at the Fountain of beauty are:

  • Broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection
  • Suitable for children
  • Natural tanning: Award winning lotions with high levels of organic ingredients
  • Feed your skin: Vitamins A, C & E, Avocado and Marshmallow nourish and moisturise
  • Anti-inflammatory: Green Tea, Chamomile and Myrrh soothe sensitive skin or those prone to skin allergies
  • Antioxidant plant extracts: Rosemary, Green Tea and Edelweiss mop up free radicals, which cause ageing and cell damage
  • Non pore-clogging: Other sun lotions often contain mineral oils and silicones. These form a synthetic barrier on the skin, like wrapping it in cling film – a major cause of prickly heat

Keep Covered Up

family covering up on the beach

For those with paler more sensitive skins remember, clothing can be one of the most effective barriers between our skin and the sun. The closer the weave and the more skin covered – the greater the protection. Shoulders should always be kept covered as they easily and frequently burn.

Furthermore, this is especially successful if you lead an active lifestyle and as a result often forget to top up your sun cream. Always make sure to think about your skin, rather than what you look like whilst being active in the sun. Don’t give into fashion or appearance over your health.

Skin Routine

woman washing face

The best way to keep on top of your skin’s health this summer is to alter your routine to fit the changes your skin goes through. This may involve changing products, or the frequency that you use them. Opting for a lighter moisturiser with an added SPF may be a simple way to adapt.

To balance your skin, you could treat yourself to salon treatments to thoroughly treat your skin. At the Fountain of Beauty we offer a Yon-Ka Paris Hydrasun Facial to rejuvenate and calm the skin after sun exposure, for more info on this service please ring the salon.

As a result of makeup and sun cream being used throughout the day, a stronger cleanser than you are used to may be needed. Making sure your pores are clear and your skin is healthy is key to keeping a wonderful summer glow.

If you are using an effective cleanser, soothe skin with a gentle toner and a deep moisturiser. An evening moisturiser may feel heavier than you are used to, however it will replace the vital moisture lost throughout the day.

To help keep skin clean and clear in the morning cleanse and then follow up with toner, a light moisturiser, and your sun cream. This should help keep your skin bright and dewy.

Minimal Makeup

minimal makeup

In the summer, your skin needs a minimum amount of makeup. Too much is uncomfortable and hot, as a result you will sweat it off before the end of the day. Why not ditch the foundation and go for a little counsellor under the eyes and on any problem areas, translucent powder to set and a little mascara to open the eyes. Furthermore, if you need foundation why not try a light tinted moisturiser.

Ear Piercing

Where do we pierce

We specialise in the lobe area of the ear. We use a gun with pre-sterilised earrings. Our method is not suitable for cartilages areas at the top of the ear. We mark the area and pierce one at a time.

What age do we pierce from

We generally only pierce from 8 years old, as I believe the ears are still growing and the ears change shape as the child matures. The piercing is more symmetric when the ears are more developed. Therefore better to get it right first time.

How long does it take

Generally by the time the ears are marked and we all agree on the best place to pierce, and then piercing, can be 20 minutes up to half an hour. Better not to rush this and regret it.

What earrings are used

The highest grade gold or silver pre sterilised earrings are used for piercing. They are also hypo allergenic. We recommend they stay in for 4 weeks to ensure problem free piercing for years to come. You will get all the information you need to clean and care for your earrings when with us in the salon.

Do I need Aftercare

Intimate Waxing

We have been getting loads of calls looking for info on intimate waxing therefore we decided to do a little blog to answer all your hairy inquiries.

Intimate waxing involves hair removal from the pubic region and can start from having a bikini shape to complete hair removal.

There are four basic shapes for intimate waxing:

Bikini Wax

Standard bikini wax shape, hairs removed outside pant lines.

A standard bikini wax is a basic shaping of pubic hair into a neat upside-down triangle shape to the edge of the panty line.

Extended Bikini Wax/Californian Wax

Extended bikini wax/Californian wax, takes the sides of a standard bikini in slightly deeper.

An extended bikini wax takes the sides of the bikini line in deeper than a regular bikini wax leaving a more defined triangle with narrower edges.

Brazilian Wax

Brazilian wax, hair removed to leave small strip on front and hair removed on back

A Brazilian wax takes away all the hair off the bikini line leaving a small strip on the front. Hair is removed from the front all the way round to the bottom area.

Hollywood Wax

Hollywood wax, all hair removed, front and back

The Hollywood wax removes all hair from the front, round to the bottom – complete hair removal.

What should I expect at my first waxing treatment?

Firstly, we use quality tea-tree oil based wax from Outback Organics, which has been developed by top waxing specialists who are always looking at ways to improve the wax itself. In addition our therapists all have intense intimate waxing training and will explain the procedure up-front, talking you through every step along the way.

In terms of reaction, every person’s skin behaves differently to intimate waxing. You may end up with some irritation or redness because the skin can be distressed after the first couple of waxing treatments, but we offer after care advice and products that help soothe the skin.

You may also experience some itching as the hair breaks through, but effective aftercare will alleviate any discomfort.

Does Intimate Waxing Hurt?

Pain thresholds are different for each person but our therapists are trained in techniques that offer minimum discomfort when performing intimate waxing treatments. If you are new to waxing there may be an element of shock, but it gets easier with every treatment as the hair thins. After all, many women keep coming back 🙂

How Old Do You Have To Be To Have Intimate Waxing?

Salons may differ, but we say eighteen years old. You can have it done at sixteen, but we would need parental consent and that person in the salon at the same time as your wax because you are technically a minor.

How Often Will You Need Intimate Waxing?

Everyone is different, but 95% of our clients come in every 4-6 weeks. After that regular waxing sessions ensure that your hair grows back finer and thinner as the hair follicle has less grip on the hair.

Can I Shave In Between Sessions?

You can shave but this will knock out your waxing cycle because you will need at least 4 weeks growth for an intimate wax.

How Long Should The Hair Be?

The hair needs to have a certain length (5-10mm) to be waxed. For your first few sessions the longer the hair therefore the easier the wax. If your uncertain about length don’t worry if it’s too long we can trim in the salon

What If I Have Coarse Hair?

For coarse hair, the hair should be grown longer (around 10mm) for the first few intimate waxes but the hair will however become finer over time.

How Long Does An Intimate Waxing Treatment Take?

As a result of how much hair you have and which treatment you need, a waxing treatment can take anywhere from 10 minutes for a basic bikini wax to 45 mins -1 hr for Hollywood waxing.

Timing Your Intimate Wax Treatments

If you have a holiday planned, it’s worth altering the pattern of your bikini waxing appointments to coincide with specific dates. For instance, it might be that your four week waxing cycle falls half way between your holiday dates but if you plan in advance you can move the cycle over a period of time.

What Is the Difference Between Warm Wax and Hot Wax?

The warm waxing technique involves spreading wax onto the relevant areas a small section at a time. A waxing strip is pressed down onto the wax. Which is then pulled off as a result removing the hair from the root.

Hot wax is at slightly higher temperature. You apply it to the skin thicker, then allow to cool and contract. You then peel from the skin without any strip therefore removing unwanted hairs.

Hot waxing tends to be better for shorter, more stubborn hairs making it more comfortable for intimate waxing. For instance, in the salon we like to use both waxes, strip to remove the bulk of the hair and then hot for the more sensitive areas.

In conclusion, waxing those intimate areas is a treatment that gets more popular each year as more and more women discover the benefits. If you are considering intimate waxing but have concerns, this is natural.

But, our girls are friendly, experienced and in addition will make you feel comfortable as you discover intimate waxing for yourself.
